Being in the center of a trend makes a difference in a company, but it is not the only thing to look at. Trends are important, but they can be short lived, so make sure you consider this carefully.
Think about fashion. I am sure there are some looks like short wide ties for men or bell bottoms for women that were popular at a time, but perhaps aren’t quite your thing. Would you be happy wearing those things just because they are trendy?
Niche of the Top Network Marketing Companies
Also, are their niche unique? Do they sell something special or something that you could buy at any corner store with a lot more convenience? Remember it takes 3-5 years of hard work to succeed in network marketing, so it stands to reason that you target a niche that is interesting and special to you. Otherwise, you may find a year end that you are not feeling very passionate about talking about product X.

The emphasis on self development in the network marketing area means that the top personnel and distributors are usually good people, but you need to do you homework too. If you find that the CEO is now running his 20th MLM company, I’d take a moment to find out why. Is the CEO plucked right out of traditional corporate America? This might mean a different style that might be hard to unite with the network marketing mindset. My point is to look into it a bit… take a moment to do your homework the best you can. Remember people from the corporate world might understand the nuts and bots of a network marketing company, but if the CEO has worked in the network marketing world that is really important.
How does the CEO share information to it’s distributors? Do they share marketing techniques that resonate with distributors and have proven results?
Is this a J.O.B? or is it a lifestyle? Are they problem solvers? or party-line repeaters?
Lastly, be sure to go to gatherings hosted by distributors whether it is a webinar or face to face to gauge whether there is an atmosphere that is attractive to you? Are people happy, motivated, worried or intense? You’ll know right away if this is a corporate culture that you can fit into. Remember if it isn’t your passion, it will show in your success rate and your attitude.
